FOCUSED CLINICAL QUESTIONS

INDIVIDUALIZED ASSESSMENT

NUANCED, PRACTICAL ANSWERS

ADULTS & OLDER ADULTS

WHEN ANSWERS FEEL OUT OF REACH

Symptoms rarely arrive with a label.

Cognitive concerns can have many overlapping causes. A careful neuropsychological evaluation brings the history, test findings, medical context, and day-to-day experience into one coherent picture.

The goal is not simply to score or diagnose. It is an explanation that makes sense and a plan you can use.

REASONS PEOPLE COME TO MAP

A precise evaluation, built around your questions.

01

Memory & thinking

Clarify whether changes in memory, language, attention, or reasoning reflect normal aging, a neurologic conditions, or another cause.

02

Complex medical conditions

Understand cognitive symptoms in the context of sleep, mood, medications, chronic illness, stroke, or other health factors.

03

Attention & executive function

Clarify whether a longstanding pattern supports ADHD or whether sleep, mood, health, stress, or other factors better explain the difficulty.

MEET DR. MONIQUE PIMONTEL

Clinical rigor, with room for the whole story.

Dr. Pimontel is a clinical neuropsychologist with more than a decade of experience across academic medical and healthcare settings. Her approach is exacting without being impersonal: listen carefully, test purposefully, and explain the findings in language that is useful in real life.

THE MAP ENVIRONMENT

The office was chosen as carefully as the evaluation itself.

Neuropsychological assessment asks for sustained attention, energy, and openness. The setting should support that work, not add to the strain.

MAP’s Manhattan office provides an easily accessible, private, calm, and polished alternative to an institutional clinic. The space, appointment pacing, breaks, and communication around the visit are all treated as part of the clinical experience. The aim is simple: for patients to feel welcomed, comfortable, and well cared for while doing demanding work.

02

A focused battery is selected around the clinical question, with no more testing than is useful.

03

WEEK THREE ● 60 MINUTES

We discuss what the findings mean, answer questions, and identify the next steps.
