THE EVALUATION PROCESS
What to Expect
01
Referral & Intake
Contact the practice to discuss your needs. You will be sent intake questionnaires covering your medical history, current concerns, and daily functioning before your first appointment.
02
Clinical Interview
Dr. Pimontel meets with you to review your history in depth, understand your concerns, and clarify the evaluation goals. A family member or caregiver is encouraged to join. A clinical interview usually takes about an hour.
05
Feedback Session
Dr. Pimontel reviews the findings with you directly, answers your questions, and provides clear recommendations for next steps. A feedback session usually takes about an hour.
03
Neuropsychological Testing
A comprehensive battery of standardized tests is completed to assess memory, attention, processing speed, language, executive function, and related cognitive domains. Testing typically spans two to three hours.
06
Written Report
A detailed written report summarizing the evaluation, diagnoses, and individualized recommendations is provided to you and, with your consent, to your referring providers.
Each evaluation is individualized. The process unfolds across several appointments and is concluded with a detailed written report and direct feedback from Dr. Pimontel.
